Role & responsibilities

- Prepare RFQs and follow up with suppliers for quotations as per procurement requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery, and capability.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and other commercial conditions with suppliers.
- Create and release Purchase Orders as per approved commercial terms.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of ordered components.
- Track supplier performance and conduct regular supplier reviews.
- Coordinate vendor inspections and resolve quality-related issues with suppliers.
- Drive cost reduction, sourcing optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze BOMs and engineering drawings to understand component and material requirements.
- Work closely with engineering, production, quality, and project teams to meet procurement requirements.
- Maintain procurement reports, supplier data, and performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, commercial terms, and contractual requirements.




- Regularly visit supplier locations to track production and delivery status.

Preferred candidate profile

- B.E./B.Tech graduate with 5 to 8 years of experience in Procurement/Purchase.
- Experience in engineering/manufacturing procurement is essential.
- Strong experience in sourcing sheet metal and machined components.
- Positive knowledge of tool steel, stainless steel, aluminium alloys, plastics, and rubber.
- Understanding of sheet metal fabrication, machining, molding, plating, coating, and anodizing processes.
- Ability to read and understand BOMs and engineering drawings.
- Experience in RFQ management, quotation analysis, supplier negotiation, vendor development, and cost reduction.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and preferably ERP systems.
- Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and vendor-management skills.
- Must own a two-wheeler and be comfortable travelling to supplier locations.
- Candidates willing to relocate to Bangalore may be considered.
