Role Description The Process Safety Lead will oversee process safety management site manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements. This full-time on-site role, based in Nakkapalli, Vishakhapatnam, involves leading hazard identification and risk assessments, reviewing process designs and operating procedures, and coordinating safety studies such as HAZOP, PHA, and incident investigations. The role includes developing and updating process safety policies, training operational teams on best practices, and monitoring implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
The Process Safety
Lead will collaborate closely with production, engineering, quality, and EHS teams to drive continuous improvement in safety performance and support protected scale-up of new and existing products.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in process safety management, including HAZOP, PHA, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
- Process Safety testings Data Interpretation
- Knowledge of chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, industrial hazards, and applicable safety regulations and standards.
- Proficiency in Process safety documentation, SOP development, and use of relevant safety analysis tools and software.
- Ability to lead cross-functional safety initiatives, provide technical guidance, and deliver effective training to diverse teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Safety, or a related discipline; relevant certifications in process safety or industrial safety are an advantage.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical or chemical industry, preferably in large-scale manufacturing environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to safety culture.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work on-site in Vishakhapatnam on a full-time basis.
