Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Principal Engineer with 15+ years of engineering experience, preferably from the pharmaceutical industry, to provide technical leadership and engineering expertise across projects, plant operations, process improvements, and facility infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing environments, engineering projects, plant utilities, equipment, CAPEX projects, commissioning, qualification, and regulatory compliance. The role requires a hands-on technical leader capable of managing complex engineering initiatives and coordinating with cross-functional teams, consultants, contractors, and senior management.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead engineering, plant expansion, and CAPEX projects from design through commissioning.
- Manage plant utilities including HVAC, electrical, water systems, steam, compressed air, and refrigeration.
- Review engineering designs, equipment specifications, URS, vendor proposals, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, EHS, Maintenance, Procurement, consultants, and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with GMP/cGMP, safety, quality,



and regulatory requirements.
- Drive engineering improvements, cost optimization, energy efficiency, and equipment reliability.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, vendors, contractors, and technical deliverables.
- Support commissioning, qualification, validation, audits, and troubleshooting.
- Lead and mentor engineering teams.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 15+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Pharmaceutical industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, engineering projects, plant utilities, and infrastructure.
- Proven experience managing large-scale CAPEX and engineering projects.
- Good understanding of GMP, cGMP, qualification, validation, and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
- Robust knowledge of engineering standards, safety requirements, and statutory compliance.
- Experience working with consultants, contractors, OEMs, and engineering service providers.
- Robust project management, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
