Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Principal Architect to lead architecture execution across large-scale engineering programs. The role focuses on translating solution architecture into scalable technical designs, driving engineering standards, governing architecture decisions, and enabling successful delivery across multiple development teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Translate solution architecture into implementation-ready technical designs.
- Drive architecture governance, design reviews, coding standards, and integration best practices.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple engineering teams and workstreams.
- Establish and enforce scalable architecture, security, performance, and reliability standards.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and engineering teams to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Drive DevOps, CI/CD, release management, and engineering excellence practices.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar platforms to improve engineering productivity and technical validation.
- Mentor architects and senior engineers while serving as a technical escalation point for critical initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

- 13+ years of overall software engineering experience.




- 8+ years in Principal Architect, Enterprise Architect, Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or similar architecture leadership roles.
- Strong expertise in Software Architecture, System Design, Distributed Systems, APIs, Microservices, Integration Architecture, and Cloud Platforms.
- Experience leading architecture and technical direction across multiple teams or programs.
- Robust understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, engineering governance, and architecture review processes.
- Hands-on experience with AI-powered development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or equivalent solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.

Preferred

- TOGAF or Cloud Architecture certifications.
- Experience in Healthcare, Pharma, or other regulated industries.
- Experience working within global delivery organizations.
