About the Role

We are looking for a warm, caring, energetic, and creative Pre-School & Daycare Teacher who can create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for young children. The teacher will be responsible for supporting children's early learning, social-emotional development, creativity, communication, and overall well-being through age-appropriate activities and classroom experiences.

Key Responsibilities

1. Teaching & Learning

- Plan and conduct age-appropriate, interactive learning activities for preschool children.
- Follow the school's curriculum, lesson plans, monthly themes, and learning objectives.
- Use play-based, experiential, and activity-based teaching methods.
- Develop children's language, cognitive, motor, social, emotional, and creative skills.
- Conduct storytelling, rhymes, music, art & craft, sensory play, role play, and other engaging activities.
- Encourage children to explore, ask questions, communicate, and participate actively.
- Prepare and maintain classroom teaching-learning materials and displays.

1. Child Care & Safety

- Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of every child throughout the school/daycare hours.
- Maintain close supervision of children during classroom activities, meals, outdoor play, nap time, and transitions.
- Follow all school health, hygiene, safety, and child-protection protocols.
- Observe children's behaviour, emotional needs, and developmental progress and report concerns to the Centre Head.
- Assist children with age-appropriate self-help skills such as eating, toileting,



hand washing, and maintaining personal hygiene.

1. Daycare Responsibilities

- Supervise children during daycare hours and ensure a calm, comfortable, and nurturing environment.
- Organise meaningful indoor and outdoor activities during daycare time.
- Support children during meals, rest/nap time, and recreational activities.
- Maintain appropriate routines and ensure children are comfortable and engaged.

1. Parent Communication

- Maintain positive and professional communication with parents.
- Share appropriate updates regarding the child's participation, behaviour, learning, and development.
- Attend parent-teacher meetings and other school interactions as required.
- Address routine parent queries professionally and escalate concerns when required.

1. Documentation & Classroom Management

- Maintain daily attendance and classroom records.
- Maintain children's portfolios, observations, and developmental records as required.
- Keep the classroom clean, organised, attractive, and child-friendly.
- Ensure proper use and care of classroom resources and learning materials.
- Maintain discipline through positive reinforcement and age-appropriate behaviour-management techniques.

1. Teamwork & Professional Responsibilities

- Work collaboratively with co-teachers, caregivers, coordinators, and the Centre Head.




- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, workshops, events, celebrations, and school activities.
- Contribute ideas for improving classroom activities and children's learning experiences.
- Follow all school policies, procedures, and professional standards.

Qualifications
- Graduate / Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Nursery Teacher Training (NTT), ECCE, Montessori, B.Ed., or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Candidates with relevant preschool/daycare teaching experience will be preferred.
- Freshers with the right attitude and relevant early-childhood qualification may also be considered.
