ABOUT THE ROLE

F5 Global Talent is hiring an experienced Plumbing & Fire Protection Design Engineer to design systems for U.S. residential and commercial projects.

You’ll own projects from concept through detailed design, including domestic water systems, sanitary and storm drainage, rainwater harvesting, sewage ejectors, fire sprinkler systems, hydrants, fire pumps, and related calculations.

This is a full design-engineering role — not drafting from someone else’s markups. You must be able to perform the calculations, make engineering decisions, coordinate with other disciplines, and produce complete construction documentation.

This is a full-time, remote role open to candidates in India and the Philippines, working U.S. business hours.

KEY: This role requires hands-on plumbing/PHE and fire-protection design experience. General MEP or HVAC experience alone is not sufficient.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Design plumbing and fire-protection systems from concept through detailed design
- Design domestic cold-water, hot-water, and hot-water return systems
- Design sanitary drainage, venting, and stormwater systems
- Design rainwater-harvesting and sewage-ejector systems
- Design fire sprinkler, hydrant, and fire-pump systems
- Perform water-demand and tank-sizing calculations
- Perform pipe-sizing calculations across plumbing and fire-protection systems
- Perform hydraulic calculations for fire-protection systems
- Produce detailed layouts, schematics, and 3D models in AutoCAD and Revit




- Coordinate models and resolve multidisciplinary clashes in BIM 360
- Prepare BOQs, material takeoffs, and project documentation
- Ensure designs meet applicable U.S. codes and project requirements

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- 4+ years of professional plumbing/PHE and fire-protection design experience
- Hands-on plumbing system design experience
- Hands-on fire sprinkler, hydrant, and fire-pump design experience
- Strong hydraulic-calculation skills
- Experience with water-demand, tank-sizing, and pipe-sizing calculations
- Experience designing cold-water, hot-water, sanitary, venting, and stormwater systems
- AutoCAD experience
- Revit MEP experience
- BIM 360 experience
- Experience preparing BOQs and material takeoffs
- Strong multidisciplinary coordination and clash-resolution skills
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
- Strong written and spoken English
- Availability to work U.S. business hours

- SketchUp experience
- STAAD.Pro experience
- Experience with hotels, schools, restaurants, fitness clubs, or similar projects
- Experience coordinating with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines
