Primary Purpose of Role:
We are seeking an experienced PLM Architect to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) ecosystem, centered on Siemens Teamcenter, within our global organization. This role will define architecture strategy, ensure scalability and integration across enterprise systems, and drive digital transformation initiatives across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain domains.
Key Responsibilities:
PLM Architecture & Strategy
· Define and maintain the end-to-end PLM architecture roadmap aligned with business and digital engineering strategies
· Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance Teamcenter solutions across multi-site global deployments
· Establish best practices for configuration, customization, and extension of Teamcenter
· Teamcenter Solution Design
· Lead the design of Teamcenter data models, workflows, and integrations
· Provide governance over Teamcenter modules (e.g., Engineering, Manufacturing, Classification, Change Management)
· Ensure alignment with industry and regulatory requirements
· Integration & Interoperability
Architect integrations between Teamcenter and enterprise platforms such as:
· CAD systems (NX, Creo, Solid Edge)
· ERP systems (SAP)
· MES, ALM, and other digital manufacturing tools
· Enable end-to-end digital thread from product design through manufacturing and service
· Design up-to-date API-driven and event-based integration patterns
Leadership & Governance
· Act as the technical authority for PLM architecture decisions
· Establish and enforce architecture standards, governance frameworks, and best practices
· Collaborate with enterprise architecture, engineering leadership, and external partners
Performance & Optimization
· Oversee performance tuning, scalability planning, and system health
· Ensure high availability and reliability of global Teamcenter environments
Transformation & Innovation
· Drive adoption of cloud PLM, SaaS models, and emerging digital technologies
· Support initiatives in Digital Twin, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and Industry 4.0
· Drive innovation in configuration management, variant complexity, and product traceability

· Successful and timely delivery of PLM roadmap initiatives, measured by on-time and on-budget implementation

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
· 8+ years of experience in PLM systems, with at least 5 years focused on Teamcenter architecture
· Deep expertise in Teamcenter architecture, deployment, and customization
Experience:
· 8 years of experience in PLM systems implementation and architecture, with significant hands-on work in Siemens Teamcenter
· Proven experience designing and supporting global, multi-site PLM deployments in the automotive, commercial vehicle, off-highway equipment or discrete manufacturing sectors
· Demonstrated success leading large-scale PLM transformations or upgrades
· Experience working across the full product lifecycle (concept, design, manufacturing, service)
Technical Knowledge
· Deep expertise in Teamcenter architecture, including BMIDE, Active Workspace, workflow configuration, and data modeling
· Strong understanding of CAD integrations (NX, Creo, Solid Edge) and product structure management
· Experience integrating PLM with ERP (SAP), MES, ALM,
and other enterprise systems
· Knowledge of integration technologies (REST APIs, SOA, middleware platforms, messaging frameworks)
· Familiarity with cloud architectures, containerization, and modern deployment models
· Understanding of data governance, security models, and compliance standards
Business & Domain Knowledge
· Strong understanding of product development processes (engineering release, change management, BOM management)
· Knowledge of industry standards and frameworks (ISO, regulatory requirements)
· Familiarity with digital engineering concepts such as Digital Twin, MBSE, and Industry 4.0

· Influences and supports a global user base of engineering, manufacturing, and service professionals; collaborates across IT, engineering leadership, and external partners without direct line management responsibility (matrix leadership role)
· Accountable for PLM architecture supporting global operations, including North America, Europe, and Asia, ensuring consistent data models, processes, and system performance across regions
· Provides architectural oversight and input into multi-million-dollar PLM investments, including system upgrades, cloud transformation, and integration programs; helps optimize total cost of ownership
· Operates within a matrixed organization, influencing cross-functional teams, vendors, and system integrators; leads through expertise, governance, and strategic alignment rather than direct authority
Travel or Physical Demands:
