Purpose:

He is responsible for driving operational excellence, process efficiency, and innovation across the AFD production unit. This role plays a critical part in achieving benchmark performance by minimizing process breaks, controlling waste generation, optimizing cost structures, and enhancing recovery rates. He will also champion recent product trials, uphold stringent quality standards, and lead a high-performing team in alignment with business objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Reduce process breaks and minimize waste generation through continuous monitoring and analysis.
- Implement systemic improvements across process parameters to improve efficiency and effectively manage production costs.
- Lead best practice adoption from other plants to achieve recovery benchmarks, especially maintaining ULGC recovery.

New Product Trials and Development:

- Collaborate with Business Quality Head, Engineering, and Sourcing teams to schedule and execute timely product trials.
- Ensure customer sample preparations are completed accurately and delivered as per specified timelines.
- Facilitate knowledge capture from trials and drive readiness for commercial production.

Quality Improvement and Complaint Resolution:

- Analyze customer complaints and defect data to identify patterns and causes.




- Coordinate preparation and deployment of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).
- Ensure sales returns are maintained through proactive quality assurance measures.

Team Leadership and Culture Building:

- Inspire and empower team members by setting stretch targets and reviewing individual performances regularly.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and performance excellence.
- Build cross-functional alignment to ensure consistent plant-wide communication and goal achievement.

Safety & Housekeeping:

- Conduct regular safety audits and emergency drills, fostering a proactive safety culture within the plant.
- Identify risk zones and implement action plans to eliminate potential hazards.
- Enforce the use of safety tools like Toolbox Talks (TBT) and strict adherence to work permit protocols.

Cost Control and Efficiency:

- Drive cost-saving initiatives through recipe optimization and process parameter control.
- Participate in roll upgradation initiatives as part of the designated committee.
- Ensure chemical and consumable procurement remains within budget and is aligned with departmental operating procedures (DOP).
