Position: Planning Engineer – Interior Works

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer – Interior Works to plan, schedule, monitor, and control interior fit-out projects from start to completion. The candidate should have hands-on experience in commercial, residential, corporate, hospitality, or turnkey interior projects and should be capable of coordinating with design, procurement, execution, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed project schedules, baseline programmes, and execution plans for interior fit-out projects.
- Develop WBS, activity schedules, milestones, and work sequences.
- Prepare and maintain project schedules using MS Project / Primavera P6.
- Monitor actual progress against the planned schedule and identify delays.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Prepare look-ahead schedules and coordinate with site teams for upcoming activities.
- Identify the critical path, delays, bottlenecks, and schedule risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Interior Designers, Procurement Teams, Vendors, and Subcontractors.
- Plan manpower, materials, equipment, and other resources required for project execution.
- Coordinate procurement schedules with project execution requirements to ensure timely material availability.
- Track drawing approvals, material approvals, samples, procurement, fabrication, delivery, and installation.
- Monitor activities such as:
- Civil and finishing works




- False ceiling
- Gypsum / glass partitions
- Flooring and tiling
- Painting and wall finishes
- Carpentry and joinery
- Furniture and modular works
- Electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other MEP coordination
- Review BOQs, drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop realistic schedules.
- Prepare progress dashboards, MIS reports, and management presentations.
- Track planned vs. actual quantities and work progress.
- Assist in preparation of delay analysis and Extension of Time (EOT) claims, where required.
- Participate in project review meetings and provide schedule updates.
- Prepare recovery plans whenever the project falls behind schedule.
- Maintain proper planning documentation and project records.
- Support the Project Manager in ensuring projects are completed within the agreed timeline and resources.

Qualification

- B.E / B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Interior Design, or a related field.
- Candidates with strong Interior Fit-Out / Turnkey Interior experience will be preferred.
- Experience in commercial, corporate, residential, hospitality, retail, or institutional interior projects is an advantage.

Technical Skills





- Strong knowledge of Interior Fit-Out Planning and Scheduling.
- Proficiency in MS Project and/or Primavera P6.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and project reporting.
- Ability to read and interpret GFC, architectural, interior, and MEP drawings.
- Understanding of BOQ, project quantities, material planning, and resource planning.
- Knowledge of critical path, baseline schedules, progress tracking, delay analysis, and EOT.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is an added advantage.

Preferred Experience Ideal candidate: A Civil / Interior / Construction professional with hands-on experience in Interior Fit-Out Planning, with robust exposure to project scheduling, progress monitoring, resource planning, procurement coordination, MIS reporting, and delay analysis.

Pay: From ₹30,000.00 per month
