Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in industrial automation, PLC programming, HMI development, VFD/servo integration, machine commissioning, and troubleshooting.

The candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, commissioning, modifying, and troubleshooting automation programs for industrial machines and production systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and modify PLC programs for industrial automation machines.
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs such as Omron, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Schneider, and Allen-Bradley.
- Develop and modify HMI programs and operator interfaces.
- Configure and troubleshoot VFDs, servo drives, servo motors, sensors, and other field devices.
- Perform PLC-HMI-VFD-servo integration.
- Develop motion-control applications including positioning, speed control, synchronization, and electronic gearing where required.
- Read and understand electrical drawings, control panel wiring, I/O lists, and machine sequences.
- Perform PLC program testing, debugging, FAT, SAT, installation, and commissioning.
- Visit customer sites for machine installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical support.
- Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, communication, sensor, and machine-related faults.
- Support machine sequence development and modifications based on customer requirements.
- Configure industrial communication networks such as EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RTU, Profinet, Profibus, and EtherCAT.
- Prepare PLC/HMI documentation, I/O lists, backups.
- Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, project, and customer teams.

Required Technical Skills




- Strong knowledge of PLC programming and industrial automation.
- Hands-on experience with Ladder Logic and preferably Structured Text.
- Good knowledge of HMI programming.
- Experience with VFD and servo drive commissioning.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols.
- Ability to read electrical and control schematics.
- Valuable understanding of sensors, relays, contactors, pneumatic systems, and control panels.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites for installation and commissioning.

Preferred PLC Platforms Experience in one or more of the following:
- Omron PLC – CX-Programmer / Sysmac Studio
- Siemens PLC – TIA Portal
- Mitsubishi PLC
- Schneider PLC
- Allen-Bradley PLC

Knowledge of multiple PLC platforms will be an advantage.

Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.
- Industrial automation or PLC certification will be an added advantage.

Experience 2–5 years of relevant experience in PLC programming, industrial automation, machine commissioning, or controls engineering.

Freshers with strong practical PLC programming knowledge may also be considered for a junior position.
