The International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai, invites applications for the position of Placement Officer on a contractual basis. The Placement Officer will be responsible for strengthening industry–academia linkages, facilitating placement and internship opportunities for students, and supporting the Institute’s career development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Establish and maintain professional relationships with leading organisations, companies, institutions and recruiters to facilitate placement, recruitment and internship opportunities for students.
- Coordinate placement and internship activities, including employer outreach, pre-placement activities, recruitment drives, tests and interviews.
- Guide and support students in career planning, job applications, interview preparation and overall career readiness.
- Facilitate and disseminate information regarding higher education, fellowships and career opportunities in India and abroad.
- Coordinate with academic departments, students, faculty, alumni and external organisations to strengthen the Institute’s placement and career-development activities.




- Maintain relevant records and databases of recruiters, employment opportunities, placements and internships, and track placement-related outcomes.
- Promote Institute programmes, student achievements and relevant career and employment opportunities through appropriate skilled and digital platforms.
- Prepare periodic reports and updates on placement, internship and other career-related activities.
- Undertake other placement and career-development responsibilities as assigned by the Institute.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate should possess strong communication, networking, interpersonal and coordination skills, with demonstrated ability to build relationships with organisations and recruiters and effectively coordinate with students, faculty and external stakeholders. Experience in corporate recruitment, employer engagement and placement-related activities will be an advantage.

Joining: Immediate

Pay: Up to ₹70,000.00 per month
