Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead Piping Engineer to lead piping design, plant layout, piping material engineering and multidisciplinary coordination activities for EPC/EPCM projects. The role involves delivering safe, constructible and cost-effective piping systems from concept and FEED through detailed engineering, procurement support, construction and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead development and review of equipment layouts, plot plans, piping layouts and routing studies.

· Review P&IDs;, vendor drawings, isometrics and piping engineering deliverables.

· Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, safety and constructability requirements.

· Participate in 3D model reviews, layout optimization studies and design reviews.

· Develop and review PMS, Line Classes and piping standards.

· Perform material selection and prepare specifications for piping components and valves.

· Support technical bid evaluations, vendor document reviews and procurement activities.

· Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation and Safety disciplines.

· Participate in HAZOP, constructability reviews and commissioning support activities.

· Support proposal engineering, concept studies and FEED activities.

Leadership & Team Management

· Lead and mentor piping engineers, designers and draftsmen.

· Plan resources, allocate work and monitor engineering progress.

· Review and approve discipline deliverables.





· Lead technical discussions and multidisciplinary coordination meetings.

· Ensure compliance with project schedules, quality requirements and engineering procedures.

Work Experience

Qualifications & Experience

· Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

· 8-12 years of experience in piping engineering for EPC/EPCM projects.

· Strong experience in piping design, plant layout and PMS development.

· Experience in Chemical, Petrochemical, Refinery, Fertilizer, Ethanol, Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy or similar process industries.

· Good communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Experience

Green Hydrogen, Green Ammonia, Electrolyser Systems, 4G Ethanol, CBG & Biofuels, Chemical & Petrochemical, Refinery, Fertilizer and Renewable Energy Projects.

Added Advantage

· Exposure to hydrogen service applications and ASME B31.12.

· Experience in PMS, Line Class and Valve Specification development.

· Exposure to CAESAR II stress analysis reviews.

· Knowledge of hazardous area classification requirements.

· Participation in HAZOP, SIL and Process Safety reviews.

· Experience leading 3D model review meetings.
