Jadhu is India’s first neurodivergent care platform for children, developing personalised, inclusive and evidence-informed approaches to support children with learning, developmental and neurodevelopmental needs.
We are seeking an experienced PhD-qualified Special Educator / Special Education Research Professional to lead the development, evaluation and continuous improvement of Jadhu's special education and child-development programs.
This role is ideal for an academic and clinical professional who can bridge research, special education practice, assessment, intervention and technology-enabled care.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Educational Assessment
- Lead comprehensive educational and developmental assessments of children with neurodevelopmental and learning needs.
- Interpret assessment findings and translate them into practical educational and intervention recommendations.
- Support the development and standardisation of assessment protocols and clinical documentation frameworks.
- Establish appropriate outcome measures for monitoring children's progress.
Individualised Education & Intervention
- Develop and review Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) for children with complex learning and developmental needs.
- Design evidence-based special education, remedial education and developmental intervention programs.
- Guide educators in adapting interventions according to individual cognitive, behavioural, sensory and learning profiles.
- Review intervention outcomes and recommend modifications based on measurable progress.
- Support complex or challenging cases requiring advanced special-education expertise.
Research & Program Development
- Lead special education research initiatives within Jadhu.
- Develop evidence-based intervention protocols and educational frameworks.
- Design research studies to evaluate the effectiveness of Jadhu's programs and technology-enabled interventions.
- Develop outcome measures, assessment protocols and data-collection methodologies.
- Analyse intervention outcomes and contribute to research publications, conference presentations and academic collaborations.
- Identify emerging evidence and international best practices in neurodiversity, special education and child development.
- Translate research findings into practical clinical and educational programs.
Technology & Product Collaboration
- Work closely with Jadhu's product, technology and clinical teams to translate special-education requirements into digital interventions.
- Provide subject-matter expertise for developing technology-enabled learning and intervention programs.
- Review educational content, digital therapeutic activities and child-development programs for clinical and educational relevance.
- Contribute to the development of personalised intervention pathways based on child profiles and measurable outcomes.
Team Leadership & Training
- Mentor and supervise Special Educators and junior clinical/educational professionals.
- Develop training programs and competency frameworks for Special Educators.
- Conduct workshops and case-based training for educators and multidisciplinary professionals.
- Establish quality standards for assessments, IEPs, intervention delivery and documentation.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences.
Parent & Stakeholder Engagement
- Support complex parent consultations and explain assessment and intervention outcomes in a clear and empathetic manner.
- Provide evidence-based recommendations for home-based learning and developmental support.
- Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, paediatric professionals and other specialists.
- Build academic and institutional partnerships relevant to special education and neurodivergent care.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Special Education, Education, Rehabilitation, Psychology, Child Development or a closely related discipline.
- Master's degree in Special Education / Education / Rehabilitation / Psychology or relevant field.
- Relevant professional registration/certification where applicable.
- Strong academic and research background in special education or neurodevelopment.
- Significant experience working with children with autism, ADHD, specific learning disabilities, developmental delays or other neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Demonstrated experience in assessment, intervention planning and IEP development.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in a university, research institution, clinical centre, special school or multidisciplinary child-development organisation.
- Peer-reviewed publications or conference presentations.
- Experience designing or validating assessment/intervention protocols.
- Experience supervising Special Educators, students or research teams.
- Experience in clinical research or evidence-based intervention development.
- Experience working with digital health, EdTech, health-tech or assistive technology is highly desirable.

Role Objective The PhD Special Educator / Senior Special Education & Research Lead will help Jadhu build a scientifically robust and scalable special-education ecosystem by combining clinical expertise, research, evidence-based intervention, outcome measurement and technology.
The role will serve as a bridge between research, clinical practice, education and product development, helping Jadhu establish high-quality standards for neurodivergent child care.
