Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pediatric Vision Therapist role based in Vardaraja Nagar.
The Pediatric Vision
Therapist will assess children’s visual skills, including eye coordination, tracking, focusing, and visual perception, and develop individualized therapy plans to address identified needs. Daily responsibilities include conducting vision therapy sessions, documenting progress, adjusting treatment plans, and collaborating with other therapists and healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care. The role involves educating families on home-based activities, providing regular updates on the child’s progress, and maintaining a safe, engaging environment that supports therapeutic goals.
The Pediatric Vision
Therapist will also participate in team meetings, contribute to care planning,
and stay current with best practices in pediatric vision therapy.
Qualifications
- Professional training or certification in vision therapy, orthoptics, optometry, occupational therapy with a focus on visual skills, or a related pediatric field.
- Experience working with children in clinical, therapy, or educational settings, preferably in pediatric vision, developmental, or sensory integration programs.
- Strong skills in assessment, treatment planning, and documentation, with the ability to tailor interventions to individual developmental levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport with children and collaborate effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to maintain a child-safe, inclusive environment and demonstrate patience, empathy, and cultural sensitivity in all interactions.
- Organizational and time-management skills to manage a full caseload, keep accurate records, and follow clinic protocols and guidelines.
- Commitment to ongoing learning, including staying informed about current research and best practices in pediatric vision therapy and child development.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as optometry, orthoptics, occupational therapy, psychology, special education, or another allied health discipline; relevant certifications are an advantage.
