Role Description The Patent Agent will be responsible for developing new products with engineers and interacting with our clients to better understand their needs. The agent will also assist with business development activities.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Patent Preparation and drafting explicit, comprehensive patent specifications.
- Candidates should possess experience with Patent Applications, including filing, prosecution, and communication with patent offices.
- Candidates should possess robust knowledge of Patent Law and regulations applicable to Indian and, ideally, international jurisdictions.
- Candidates should possess expertise in assessing Patentability and conducting thorough Patent Searching and prior art analysis.
- Registration as a Patent Agent with the Indian Patent Office or eligibility to register is highly preferred.
- A technical degree in engineering, science, or a related field (e.g., electronics, computer science, mechanical, biotechnology) is beneficial.
- Robust analytical, written communication, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Comfort working with technology tools and data-driven workflows; prior experience with AI or IP management software is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, manage multiple cases concurrently, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
