Role Description The Packing In Charge is responsible for supervising and coordinating all packing operations to ensure products are packed accurately, safely, and in line with company quality standards. This full-time, on-site role is based at AV Enterprises’ facility in Kolkata and involves managing packing staff, allocating workloads, and monitoring daily production targets. The role includes inspecting finished goods before packing, ensuring correct labeling and documentation, and maintaining packing materials and inventory levels.

Charge will enforce safety and hygiene protocols, implement process improvements, and collaborate with production, quality control, and dispatch teams to meet delivery timelines. The role also requires maintaining records, reporting packing status, and addressing operational issues promptly.

Qualifications

- Experience overseeing packing or production floor operations, including team supervision and workload planning.
- Strong knowledge of packing standards, quality checks, labeling requirements, and secure handling of finished goods.
- Ability to maintain inventory of packing materials and coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams.
- Skills in record keeping, documentation, and basic computer use (e.g., MS Excel, ERP or production tracking systems).
- Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of workplace safety, social compliance practices, and adherence to company policies.
- Prior experience in leather goods, accessories, or manufacturing industry preferred.
- Minimum of a high school diploma; vocational or technical training in production or industrial operations is an advantage.
