Role Overview

We are seeking a result-oriented Packaging Engineer to drive New Product Development for Cirkla's sustainable packaging portfolio. You will play an integral role in evaluating materials, optimizing specifications, and developing packaging solutions that meet customer technical standards.

As we scale our manufacturing footprint, you will be instrumental in building robust packaging development processes, driving cost and performance optimization, and ensuring delivery of world-class, sustainable packaging solutions.

What You’ll Do

- Responsible for driving New Product Development in sustainable packaging
- Evaluate material alternatives for cost and performance optimization.




- Develop packaging test protocols and acceptance criteria.
- Drive packaging cost reduction and value-engineering projects.
- Optimize material specifications, pack dimensions, grammage, and component design.
- Prepare and maintain packaging specifications, drawings, BOMs, and technical standards.
- Develop primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging for new and existing products.
- Conduct packaging trials, prototypes, and performance evaluations.
- Develop prototypes for the commercially feasible technology that can be scaled and meet customer technical standards
- Travel to prospective supply partners in Asia and strengthen relationships

Who you are

- 1-3 years of relevant experience in New Product Development of Packaging Materials in a high-growth setting
- Qualification: Must be packaging engineer from Indian Institute of Packaging
- Demonstrable experience in working with Packaging Material Supply partners in Asia who can supply products to the international markets such as North America, EU, and APAC
- Experience in the packaging industry is preferred
- Consistent track record of delivering Packaging Projects successfully from designing, development, and Quality perspective
- Self-starter, high ownership & hungry for personal growth
- Strong problem-solving & communication skills, and ability to deal with ambiguity
