Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Package Consultant – Workday Integrations / Senior Workday Extend Developer to design, architect, and deliver complex native cloud applications within the Workday ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will have solid hands-on experience in Workday Extend development, Workday Orchestrate, WQL, APIs, integrations, security, and Workday reporting . This role requires strong technical expertise to build scalable and secure enterprise applications while collaborating with stakeholders and development teams.

Key Responsibilities

Workday Extend Application Development

- Design, develop, and deliver custom enterprise applications using Workday Extend .
- Lead the end-to-end architecture and technical design of complex, high-impact Workday applications.
- Develop scalable, secure, and maintainable native cloud solutions within the Workday ecosystem.
- Build and manage workflows and business processes using Workday Orchestrate / Orchestrations .

Data Querying & Reporting
- Write and optimize advanced WQL (Workday Query Language) queries for efficient data retrieval.
- Handle complex and high-volume Workday data requirements.
- Develop and support advanced Workday reports, including Matrix and Composite Reports .





Integrations & API Development
- Develop and support integrations between Workday and external enterprise applications.
- Work extensively with REST APIs, Graph APIs, JSON, and JavaScript .
- Ensure secure, reliable, and scalable data exchange across integrated systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration and API-related issues.

Security & Governance
- Design and implement scalable security frameworks within the Workday ecosystem.
- Configure and manage Workday Security Groups, ISUs (Integration System Users), domain security policies, and permissions .
- Ensure applications and integrations comply with enterprise security, governance, and technical standards.

Technical Leadership
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Establish coding standards, development best practices, and quality guidelines.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality technical delivery.
- Collaborate with architects and technical teams to align solutions with enterprise architecture.

Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements.




- Translate complex or ambiguous business requirements into clear technical solutions and architecture blueprints.
- Participate in technical discussions, solution design, and project planning.

Mandatory Skills
- 6+ years of overall/core Workday experience
- Minimum 2+ years of dedicated hands-on Workday Extend development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Workday Extend
- Workday Orchestrate / Orchestrations
- WQL (Workday Query Language)
- JavaScript and JSON
- Workday Page Builder
- REST APIs and Graph APIs
