Contract Duration: 60–90 days, depending on project requirements

Expected Effort: Approximately 20–30 hours per month

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Oracle NetSuite Consultant to support our team on a part-time contractual basis .

The consultant will work closely with our internal team to understand business requirements, analyze existing NetSuite processes, identify issues, and provide practical solutions.

We are specifically looking for someone with strong hands-on Oracle NetSuite experience , particularly across business analysis, troubleshooting, configuration, customization, and development .

The engagement will typically be for 60–90 days , with the possibility of extension depending on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Functional Responsibilities

Understand business processes and translate business requirements into NetSuite solutions.

Analyze existing NetSuite processes, configurations, workflows, and modules.

Identify gaps, process inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation.

Gather requirements from stakeholders and document functional requirements.

Analyze existing issues and identify root causes.

Recommend practical NetSuite-based solutions.

Support process improvements and system optimization.

Prepare functional documentation and solution recommendations.

NetSuite Configuration & Customization

Configure and customize NetSuite based on business requirements.

Work with custom records, custom fields, forms, workflows, saved searches, roles, dashboards, and reports .

Develop and modify workflows and business processes.

Troubleshoot functional and configuration-related issues.





Review existing customizations and recommend improvements.

Development & Technical Responsibilities

Hands-on experience with SuiteScript and NetSuite development.

Develop and maintain NetSuite scripts and custom solutions.

Experience with SuiteScript 2.x is preferred.

Experience with User Event, Client, Scheduled, Map/Reduce, and/or Suitelet scripts.

Develop and support integrations and API-based requirements where applicable.

Debug and troubleshoot existing scripts and customizations.

Analyze technical issues and implement appropriate solutions.

Follow NetSuite development and customization best practices.

Project Support

Work independently on assigned NetSuite requirements and issues.

Participate in requirement discussions and project meetings as required.

Provide estimates and timelines for assigned tasks.

Communicate project progress, challenges, and dependencies.

Support testing, UAT, deployment, and post-deployment troubleshooting.

Provide documentation and knowledge transfer wherever required.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite.

Solid understanding of NetSuite business processes and architecture.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience in both Functional Analysis and NetSuite Development .

Hands-on experience with SuiteScript , preferably SuiteScript 2.x.

Preferred Qualifications

NetSuite certification is an advantage.

Experience with NetSuite implementation, optimization, or enhancement projects.

Experience with ERP integrations.

Knowledge of SuiteTalk / REST / SOAP APIs.

Experience with financial, order management, inventory, procurement, or e-commerce processes.

Previous experience as a NetSuite Functional Consultant, Technical Consultant, Business Analyst, or NetSuite Developer .

Engagement Details

Contract Duration: 60–90 days

Monthly Commitment: Approximately 20–30 hours per month

Working Arrangement: Remote / Flexible

Engagement: Project-based contractual

Workload may vary depending on project requirements.

Occasional online meetings may be required.

Contract may be extended based on project requirements and performance.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate should be able to analyze a business requirement, understand the existing NetSuite setup, identify the root cause of an issue, and either configure or develop the required solution .

We are specifically looking for someone who has practical hands-on exposure to both the functional/analytical and development sides of NetSuite , rather than someone limited to only one area.
