Role: Oracle EBS / Oracle Cloud Finance Functional Tester

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Oracle EBS / Oracle Cloud Finance Tester with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Finance module testing. The candidate should have strong functional testing experience across Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL) modules.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for test planning, test execution, defect management, and validation of Oracle Finance processes across EBS and/or Oracle Cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform functional testing of Oracle EBS and/or Oracle Cloud Financials.
- Design and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts for AP, AR, and GL modules.
- Conduct System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Regression Testing, and End-to-End Testing.
- Validate finance business processes, configurations, interfaces, and integrations.

- Test AP processes including

- Invoice processing

- Invoice validation and approvals

- Payments
- Supplier-related transactions

- AP accounting and reconciliation

- Test AR processes including

- Customer transactions

- Invoicing

- Receipts

- Credit/debit memos

- AR accounting and reconciliation

- Test GL processes including

- Journal entries

- Journal approvals

- Accounting and posting

- Period close

- Reconciliations

- Financial reporting
- Validate integration flows between Finance and other Oracle modules/systems.
- Prepare test data and execute test cycles within defined timelines.
- Identify, document, track, and retest defects using tools such as Jira, ALM, or similar.




- Work closely with business analysts, functional consultants, developers, and business users to resolve defects and clarify requirements.
- Support production validation and post-deployment testing where required.
- Ensure testing activities comply with project quality standards and documentation requirements.

Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Oracle Finance application testing.
- Solid hands-on experience testing AP, AR, and GL modules.
- Experience with Oracle EBS/R12 and/or Oracle Cloud Financials/Fusion.
- Strong understanding of Finance business processes and accounting concepts.
- Experience in SIT, UAT, Regression, Functional, and End-to-End testing.
- Good experience in test case preparation, execution, defect logging, and reporting.
- Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall project environments.
- Good understanding of integrations and finance data flows.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with Oracle EBS to Oracle Cloud/Fusion migration testing.
- Knowledge of Oracle Financials integrations with external applications.
- Experience with SQL/database validation is an advantage.
- Experience with testing tools such as Jira, HP ALM, Zephyr, or similar.
- Understanding of financial reconciliation and month-end/period-close processes.
- Experience working with global finance teams and multi-country implementations.

Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Key Requirement

Candidates must have at least 5 years of relevant Oracle Finance testing experience, with strong hands-on experience in AP, AR, and GL module testing.
