About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Oracle EBS Techno-Functional Consultant specializing in Oracle Projects (Project Costing, Project Billing, and Project Management), to support and maintain enterprise Oracle EBS applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of functional expertise in project accounting processes and technical skills to independently troubleshoot, customize, and enhance the application, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in a production support workplace.

Responsibilities

- Functional
- Provide L2/L3 production support for Oracle Projects (PA) module, covering Project Costing (PC), Project Billing (PB), and Project Management (PM) processes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Project Managers, Finance, and Delivery teams, leading root-cause analysis and resolution for complex incidents.
- Configure and maintain PA setups: Project Types, Project Templates, Task Structures, Costing/Billing Rules, Burden/Overhead structures, Rate Schedules, Agreements, and Funding.
- Support integration points between Oracle Projects and other modules (GL, AP, AR, HR/OTL, PO, FA) for cost/labor/expenditure flows.
- Troubleshoot issues related to Cost Distribution, Cross-Charge/Inter-company billing, Revenue Recognition, Invoice Generation, and Project-GL/AR interfaces.
- Support project close, period close, and cross-period adjustment processes; resolve exceptions in cost/revenue/billing distribution.
- Manage transaction import failures (Cost Collector, Transaction Import), unprocessed transactions, and expenditure batch errors.
- Prepare functional design documents (FDD/MD-050) and test cases (test scripts, UAT support) for enhancements/patches.




- Ensure compliance with SLA/OLA for ticket resolution (incidents, service requests, minor enhancements).
- Support statutory/regulatory and client-specific billing/revenue recognition compliance requirements.

- Technical
- Analyze and resolve complex issues related to interfaces (Transaction Import, Cost Collector, Labor/Usage/Expense Report Interfaces), conversions, and custom reports impacting Projects.
- Develop/debug PL/SQL procedures, packages, and triggers for PA-related customizations and data fixes.
- Work on Oracle Workflow (Project/Budget/Invoice approval workflows), Oracle Alerts, and Application Object Library (AOL) objects.
- Support and troubleshoot BI Publisher (BIP)/XML Publisher reports, project status reports, billing/invoice formats, and custom PA reports.
- Perform back-end data fixes/updates (with due approvals) for stuck transactions, failed cost distributions, or interface errors.
- Coordinate with DBA/Infra teams for patches, cloning, and environment refresh activities impacting Projects module.
- Prepare and maintain Technical Design Documents (TDD/MD-070) for custom objects and interfaces.
- Mentor junior consultants on technical troubleshooting and PA functional processes.

- Support Process & Governance
- Log, track, and manage tickets via ITSM tools (Zendesk, Remedy, JIRA, etc.).
- Participate in on-call/rotational support, including support during critical billing cycles, project/period close, and month-end activities.
- Adhere to and help enforce change management (CR) and incident management processes.
- Provide RCA (Root Cause Analysis) documentation for recurring/critical issues,



especially billing/revenue-impacting incidents.
- Drive knowledge base (KB) documentation and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- CA/ICWA/MBA (Finance) or PMP background is a plus for functional depth.

Required Skills

- 7–10 years of overall Oracle EBS experience with a minimum of 5+ years focused on Oracle Projects (PA) — Project Costing and Project Billing.
- Strong functional knowledge of Oracle Projects suite: Project Costing, Project Billing, Project Management, and integration with GL, AP, AR, FA, and HR/OTL.
- Hands-on technical experience with PL/SQL, SQL, Oracle Forms Personalization, and Workflow.
- Experience with BI Publisher/XML Publisher reports for invoices, project status, and billing formats.
- Working knowledge of Oracle EBS architecture (R12.1/R12.2 preferred).
- Experience working in a production support/AMS (Application Maintenance & Support) environment, handling tickets under SLA.
- Familiarity with ITSM tools (Zendesk, Remedy, JIRA) for incident/change management.
- Good understanding of PA interfaces (Transaction Import, Cost Collector, Labor Distribution) and integration with time-tracking/expense/upstream systems.
- Exposure to Oracle EBS patching, cloning, and multi-org setups is a plus.

Preferred Skills

- Exposure to Oracle Cloud ERP (Fusion Projects) or migration project experience.
- Knowledge of resource management, budgeting/forecasting, and project performance reporting.
- Experience with OTBI/BI Publisher in a Cloud environment.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- Exposure to RICEW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Workflows) objects.
- Experience with Oracle Time & Labor (OTL) and its integration with Projects.
- PMP or project accounting-related certification.

Pay range and compensation package - 30-33 LPA

Location: Hyd, Bang, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Gurgaon, Kolkata.
