Position: Operations Manager

Position Overview

KOVA Fasteners Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Operations Manager with strong knowledge of fastener manufacturing and production management. The candidate will be responsible for managing overall production operations, ensuring production targets, quality, productivity, manpower utilization, cost control, and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate should have the ability to independently manage and coordinate the complete production function of a fastener manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and supervise overall production operations of the fastener manufacturing plant.
- Plan daily, weekly, and monthly production according to customer requirements and production targets.
- Ensure achievement of production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor the complete manufacturing process, including:
- Cold/Warm Forging
- Heading
- Thread Rolling
- Heat Treatment
- Surface Treatment/Plating
- Sorting, Inspection & Packing
- Optimize machine utilization, manpower, materials, and production capacity.
- Monitor OEE, productivity, rejection, rework, downtime, and production efficiency.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, Stores, Planning, and Dispatch teams.
- Ensure availability of raw materials, tools, dies, machines, and manpower for uninterrupted production.




- Develop and implement production planning and scheduling systems.
- Control manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and productivity improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company quality, safety, and operational standards.
- Monitor preventive maintenance requirements in coordination with the Maintenance team.
- Manage and develop production supervisors, engineers, operators, and other shop-floor employees.
- Prepare and review daily/monthly production reports and present operational performance to management.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure proper handling and control of production-related documentation and ERP entries.
- Drive improvements in productivity, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.

Required Fastener Industry Knowledge The candidate must have good practical knowledge of fastener manufacturing processes and machinery. Knowledge of the following will be preferred:

- Bolt and nut manufacturing
- Cold forging / cold heading
- Multi-station headers
- Thread rolling
- Heat treatment
- Surface finishing / plating
- Tooling, dies and punches
- Raw material grades and wire rod
- Fastener grades and standards




- In-process and final inspection
- Production planning for fasteners

Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Additional qualification in Production/Operations Management will be an advantage.

Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in production/operations.
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in the fastener manufacturing industry.
- Candidate should have experience managing multiple production processes and production teams.
- Experience in independently handling overall plant production will be highly preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of experience in fastener manufacturing, with strong hands-on knowledge of production processes and the ability to manage the complete production operation from raw material to finished fastener. The candidate should be a solid people manager and production leader, capable of achieving production targets while maintaining quality, productivity, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.

Salary: As per experience and industry standards

Employment Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
