About the Role

Kranti Group is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented NPD Engineer to join our Recent Product Development department. The candidate will be responsible for supporting product development through accurate engineering design, modelling, plant layouts and machining programming.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD and SolidCAM , along with a strong understanding of manufacturing and machining processes. These skills align closely with common NPD engineering responsibilities in manufacturing roles.

Key Responsibilities

- Create accurate 3D models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks .
- Develop and modify plant layouts using AutoCAD .
- Perform turning programming using SolidCAM .
- Handle programming requirements for 3-Axis, 4-Axis and 5-Axis machining .
- Prepare detailed models and manufacturing drawings with a strong focus on accuracy and manufacturability.




- Support New Product Development activities through effective engineering and design solutions.
- Ensure precision and consistency across design and machining programs.
- Coordinate with relevant manufacturing and engineering teams during NPD activities.
- Review designs and drawings to ensure they meet production requirements.
- Support continuous improvement in design and machining processes.

Required Skills Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD and SolidCAM is essential. Candidates should have experience in mechanical/design engineering within an NPD or manufacturing environment, a good understanding of machining and manufacturing processes, and the ability to create accurate technical drawings and 3D models.

Experience with 3-Axis, 4-Axis and 5-Axis machining programming is particularly relevant for this position; comparable CAD/CAM roles commonly emphasize CNC/CAM knowledge and multi-axis toolpath experience.

Candidates should also demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, technical understanding and the ability to work effectively with manufacturing teams.
