Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced NPD – Design & Development Engineer to handle new product development activities from concept and design through prototype development, testing, validation and successful transfer to mass production.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle end-to-end Current Product Development activities.
- Study customer requirements, product specifications and technical drawings.
- Support development of automotive electrical and electronic products such as flywheel magneto and starter motor-related components.
- Prepare and maintain product drawings, BOMs, specifications and engineering documents.
- Develop prototypes and coordinate prototype build activities.
- Conduct product feasibility studies and design reviews.
- Coordinate with customers and internal teams for technical requirements and design changes.
- Support product testing, validation and performance evaluation.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Tool Room, Purchase and Maintenance during NPD projects.
- Prepare and support APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA and Control Plan documentation.
- Support trials, pilot production and product launch activities.




- Analyze test results and implement necessary design improvements.
- Handle Engineering Change Requests / Engineering Change Notes and maintain revision control.
- Identify opportunities for design optimization, cost reduction and product improvement.
- Support root-cause analysis of design-related quality issues.
- Ensure smooth transfer of developed products from NPD to mass production.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic products.
- Good understanding of electrical circuits and automotive electrical systems.
- Knowledge of product design and development processes.
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA and Control Plan.
- Experience in prototype development and product validation.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of engineering change management.
- Good coordination and communication skills.

Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in Magnetos, and starter motor, Automotive Electrical/Electronic Components or similar products will be preferred.
