Key Responsibility Area of Merchant/Production Merchant

· Order Management & Buyer Communication: Acting as the main link between buyers and the company, confirming orders, and giving timely updates.

· Product Development & Sampling: Developing samples as per buyer specifications, getting approvals on lab dips, fits, and proto samples.

· Costing & Pricing: Negotiating prices with buyers and suppliers, and finalizing cost sheets to ensure profitability.

· Sourcing & Procurement: Identifying and selecting reliable vendors for fabrics, trims, and accessories.

· Order Execution & Tracking: Monitoring the end-to-end order lifecycle from development to final shipment delivery.

· Time & Action (T&A;) Calendar: Creating, updating, and managing the master production schedule to ensure orders run on time.

· Bill of Materials (BOM) & Handover:



Preparing detailed material requirement sheets based on tech packs and handing them over to sourcing/store teams.

· Pre-Production (PP) Coordination: Conducting PP meetings with quality control and production floor teams to clarify styles, trims, and workmanship.

· Raw Material In-House Tracking: Following up with suppliers to ensure raw materials, fabrics, and accessories reach the factory floor before production starts.

· Inline & Final Inspection Management: Coordinating with internal quality teams and external third-party/buyer QA for mid and final shipment inspections.

· Reports: Prepare Style/Products wise Closing report and analyzing for short/excess shipment.
