About the Role

Mechanical Design Engineer with robust expertise in Autodesk Inventor, 3D mechanical design, Inventor automation, and engineering BOM management. The successful candidate will lead the mechanical design of Power Distribution Centers (PDCs), Power Equipment Centers (PECs), modular electrical enclosures, and containerized power systems, while driving engineering productivity through design automation and standardized workflows.

The ideal candidate combines deep mechanical design knowledge with software automation skills to improve engineering efficiency, reduce repetitive design effort, and ensure manufacturing-ready documentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop complex 3D models and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor.
- Design & catalogue:

- Sheet metal enclosures




- Structural frames (including lifting and transport arrangements)

- Mounting arrangements

- Bus support structures

- Cable routing systems

- Equipment layouts
- Optimize designs for manufacturability and assembly.
- Develop and maintain Inventor iLogic rules.
- Create configurable parametric models.
- Develop reusable design templates.
- Build standard part libraries.
- Automate repetitive engineering tasks.
- Improve engineering productivity through automation.
- Standardize engineering workflows.
- Produce fabrication drawings for shop release including BOM
- Develop engineering automation tools using:

- Autodesk Inventor API
- iLogic

- VBA
- VB.NET
- C#
- .NET Framework

- Autodesk Design Automation concepts
- Custom Inventor Add-ins
