Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop mechanical systems for Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and other robotic products. The role involves concept development, CAD modeling, prototyping, manufacturing support, testing, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.



Technical Skills Required

Preferred Skills

● Proficiency in at least one CAD software package (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or equivalent).

● Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals.

● Knowledge of sheet metal and structural design.

● Familiarity with prototype development and testing.

● Exposure to FEA, GD&T;, or tolerance analysis.

● Basic understanding of electrical integration and robotics systems.

● Experience with rapid prototyping and 3D printing.

Nice to Have

● Experience with mobile robots, AMRs, AGVs, or automation equipment.

● Exposure to safety or regulatory requirements is a plus.

● Experience with ROS/ROS2-based robotic systems.

● Exposure to industrial automation or robotic products.

● Familiarity with rapid prototyping and 3D printing.

Job Responsibilities

● Develop mechanical designs and 3D CAD models for robotic systems and subsystems.

● Create manufacturing drawings and BOMs.

● Design sheet metal, machined, and structural components.

● Support prototype assembly, testing, and design validation.

● Participate in design reviews and continuous product improvement.

Educational Qualification

● Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related field.
