Role Description The Mechanical Design Engineer will work on-site in Thoothukudi in a full-time capacity, designing and developing food processing machinery components and systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating detailed mechanical designs, preparing CAD models and engineering drawings, and collaborating with production and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and performance.

The role involves reviewing customer requirements, optimizing existing designs for reliability and cost-effectiveness,



and supporting prototype development and testing. The engineer will also assist in resolving design-related issues on the shop floor, maintaining documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement of product designs and standards.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong core skills in Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering.
- Candidates should possess skills in Machine Design and Product Design for industrial equipment.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD.).
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, standards, and specifications, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in machinery or industrial equipment design, ideally within food processing or manufacturing environments, is beneficial.
- Robust problem-solving skills, ability to work on-site with cross-functional teams, and effective verbal and written communication.
