- Job SummaryWe are looking for a Senior/Lead QA Engineer with 10+ years of experience in software testing, including solid hands-on experience in the Capital Markets domain. The candidate should have extensive expertise in manual testing, API testing, database testing, and end-to-end testing of financial applications.The role requires the ability to independently drive testing activities, work closely with business and technology teams, and provide technical guidance to junior QA members.
- Key ResponsibilitiesLead and execute functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing.




- Analyze business and functional requirements and prepare test strategies, scenarios, and detailed test cases.
- Own testing activities across the complete STLC.
- Review test cases and ensure adequate functional and business coverage.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman.
- Validate API requests/responses, status codes, headers, payloads, and business rules.
- Perform Database testing using SQL.
- Validate data flow and data integrity across UI, API, and database layers.
- Perform backend data validation and reconciliation.
- Identify, analyze, and report defects; manage defects through closure using tools such as JIRA.
- Coordinate with developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and other stakeholders for defect resolution.
- Participate in requirement, design, and solution discussions and provide QA inputs.
- Prepare test execution reports, defect reports, and QA status updates.
- Identify testing risks, dependencies, and gaps and communicate them to stakeholders.
- Mentor junior and mid-level QA engineers and review their testing deliverables.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and best practices.
- Support release validation and production/UAT-related testing activities when required.
- Capital Markets Domain ExperienceStrong knowledge of Capital Markets / Trading applications, including:Equities and securities

- Strong hands-on experience in Manual Testing.
- Strong experience in Capital Markets domain.
- Excellent knowledge of STLC, SDLC, test planning, and defect life cycle.
- Hands-on experience in API Testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Strong SQL skills and Database Testing experience.
- Experience validating data across UI, API, and database.
- Experience with JIRA or similar defect management tools.
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good to HaveKnowledge of FIX Protocol.
- Experience with trading/exchange platforms.
- Exposure to automation testing frameworks.
- Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux.
- Experience with CI/CD processes.
- Knowledge of financial messaging and integration systems.
- Leadership & Soft SkillsAbility to independently manage QA activities for complex applications.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead discussions with business and technical teams.

- EducationBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
