This role at MOSAIC Wellness is for a Manager - Quality who will be responsible for devising and overseeing quality procedures, ensuring the reliability and consistency of production, and driving continuous improvement in product and process quality. Based in Hyderabad at a third-party manufacturing location, this role requires strong analytical skills, leadership, and a willingness to travel extensively across India.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality System Management: Devise procedures to inspect and report quality issues, monitor all operations affecting quality, and supervise inspection/testing personnel to ensure reliable production.
- Customer & Compliance Assurance: Appraise internal customer requirements for satisfaction, report malfunctions to production for immediate action, and ensure all legal and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9000) are met.
- Data Analysis & Improvement: Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data. Identify quality problems or areas for improvement and recommend solutions, including improvements to manufacturing processes.
- Documentation & Reporting: Keep records of quality reports, statistical reviews, and relevant documentation. Communicate quality control information across relevant departments.
- Process Control: Identify critical points in the manufacturing process (RM & PM IN to FG Out) and specify sampling procedures. Plan and oversee periodic additive evaluations and implement statistical process control.
- Laboratory Oversight:
Ensure analytical/microbiology laboratories and Incoming Inspection are operational to support production and product release. Oversee the receipt, inspection, sampling, and disposition of all raw materials.
- Issue Resolution: Analyze customer complaints, present Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs). Check for non-conformities and perform corrective actions.
- Team Management: Manage and coach members of the QC lab.
- Technical & Regulatory Review: Prepare and review technical documents, ensuring high standards of product safety and regulatory execution.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a quality assurance manager or in a relevant role.
- Thorough knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and standards.
- Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and databases.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Great attention to detail and a results-driven approach.
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
- Reliable and trustworthy.
- Certification of quality control (e.g., ISO 9000) is a strong advantage.
- Must have 3 to 5 years of experience; FMCG experience will be preferred.
- Willingness to travel to vendor (RM and PM Suppliers) locations and the Corporate Office location.
- Must be a self-starter and have a high level of ownership, as this is a work from home opportunity.
