Job Purpose

To oversee and manage accounting operations related to factory supply chain activities, a support the effective implementation of SAP Business One, and ensure accurate cost accounting and cost audit aligned with statutory and management requirements. The role includes supervising AP invoice processing through a data entry assistant and working closely with the production team without compromising financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

- SAP Business One Implementation & Operations
- Lead the implementation and day-to-day usage of SAP Business One across production,

procurement, and inventory modules at the factory.
- Ensure all supply chain and production-related transactions are accurately recorded in

SAP, including landed costs, raw material consumption, and production outputs.
- Collaborate with the central SAP/IT/Finance teams to close functional gaps and drive process improvements.
- Uphold financial accuracy and system integrity without yielding to undue influence from non-finance personnel, including the Factory Head.
- Cost Accounting & Analysis
- Develop and maintain accurate costing systems as per cost audit norms and internal MIS requirements.
- Monitor material usage, labour, and overheads for proper cost allocation and control.
- Prepare costing sheets, analyze cost variances, and suggest improvements.
- Align standard cost settings in SAP with actual performance and management expectations.
- Factory Operations Understanding & Integration
- Gain hands-on knowledge of factory operations, production processes, and supply chain flow.
- Act as a financial control partner to the factory team ensuring timely and accurate booking of stock movements, work-in-progress, and production results.
- Support operational decisions with financial insights and accountability.
- Compliance, Controls & Reporting




- Ensure accurate input tax credit booking, stock reconciliation, and inventory valuation.
- Provide support for internal and external cost audits, including timely preparation of required reports and reconciliations.
- Drive month-end and year-end closing activities with focus on factory-specific financials.
- Cost Audit and Compliances
- Preparation of Cost statements as per cost audit requirements
- Coordinating with Cost Auditor and completing the Cost Audit
- Supervision of AP Data Entry & Document Control
- Supervise and guide a data entry assistant responsible for entering AP invoices in SAP.
- Ensure proper invoice processing, GRN matching, vendor reconciliation, and timely booking.
- Review supporting documents such as freight bills, weighment slips, and purchase bills to ensure proper landed cost accounting.
- Maintain documentation and audit trail for all factory-related expenses.

Software Skills

- Mandatory: SAP Business One (end-user or implementation experience)
- MS Excel proficiency for reporting and reconciliation
- Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of costing, inventory, and AP processes
- Exposure to production flow, factory logistics, and landed cost accounting
- Good supervisory and team coordination skills
- High integrity, independence, and decision-making capability
- Solid verbal and written communication

Key Expectation

The candidate must maintain a professional and independent stance in financial matters,

especially when dealing with factory operations, and must not be influenced by the Factory

Head in financial or SAP-related decisions.

System Transition Note

The candidate is expected to work in both Tally and SAP Business One environments during the transition period. They must ensure accuracy and consistency across both systems until the complete migration to SAP is achieved.
