Position: Software LCS (Lifecycle & Configuration Specialist) – Digital Solutions

Location: Navi Mumbai (Mahape) Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech Experience: 4–8 Years

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Lifecycle Support Engineer for SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems. The role involves end-to-end lifecycle management of SCADA applications, including deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, and continuous optimization to ensure system availability, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

SCADA System Support & Maintenance

- Provide L2/L3 support for SCADA applications and infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance, alarms, and events to ensure uptime and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SCADA software, communication protocols, and field devices.

Lifecycle Management

- Manage complete lifecycle of SCADA systems: design support, implementation, operation, and decommissioning.
- Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and migrations.
- Maintain version control and configuration management of SCADA systems.

Incident & Problem Management

- Handle incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Work with cross-functional teams to resolve critical issues within SLA timelines.

System Integration & Enhancements

- Support integration of SCADA with PLCs, RTUs, historians, and enterprise systems (MES/ERP).
- Develop and modify SCADA screens, scripts, alarms, and reports.
- Implement new features and system improvements based on business requirements.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

- Ensure SCADA systems comply with cybersecurity policies and industry standards.
- Implement security patches, user access controls,



and network segmentation.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and audits.

Documentation & Training

- Maintain technical documentation including system architecture, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides.
- Train operators and support teams on SCADA usage and best practices.

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination

- Coordinate with SCADA vendors (Siemens, ABB, Schneider, GE, etc.) for support and upgrades.
- Collaborate with IT, OT, and engineering teams for seamless operations.
- May require site visit based on requirement.

Technical Skills

- Strong experience with SCADA systems (e.g. PME, Wonderware, WinCC, iFIX, Ignition, GE Proficy).
- Knowledge of PLC/RTU systems (Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider, etc.).
- Understanding of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC, DNP3, IEC 60870-5-104, IEC61850, MQTT, Ethernet IP, Profinet).
- Familiarity with databases (SQL Server, Oracle) and historian systems.
- Exposure to networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls).
- Knowledge of Python, Node, React and C++ languages.

Soft Skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a 24x7 support environment if required.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in industries like Power, Water, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Utilities.
- Knowledge of Industrial Cybersecurity (ISA/IEC 62443, NIST).
- Certifications in SCADA systems or automation platforms.

- System uptime and availability
- Incident resolution time (MTTR)
- Successful upgrade and patch deployments
- Compliance with cybersecurity standards
- Reduction in recurring incidents
