Urgent : Maintenance Manager (Ice Cream / Frozen Food ) Near Pune / Satara

- The Maintenance Manager oversees all engineering & maintenance operations to ensure maximum Equipment Uptime, Plant Efficiency & product quality.
- This role requires solid expertise in industrial refrigeration (including ammonia systems), continuous freezing & packaging lines & stringent food safety compliance.
- Leads technical teams to ensure reliability of production equipment (homogenizers, freezers, packaging), while upholding strict Food Safety (HACCP/GMP) standards.
- Managing preventive maintenance (PM) programs, reducing downtime, controlling budgets & supervising maintenance staff in a fast-paced environment.
- Articulate tangible Cost-Saving Initiatives & Achieve Measurable Impact
- Manage physical, chemical & biological treatment methods to manage wastewater.

Qualification & Experience

- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) or equivalent experience.
- About 15 + years of experience , with 5 + years in maintenance leadership, ideally in Ice Cream / Dairy / Chocolates /Confectionery or similar Food Manufacturing facility

Key Responsibilities

- Asset Management: Oversee maintenance of dairy processing equipment, refrigeration systems, packaging lines, & facility utilities.
- Preventive/Predictive Maintenance: Develop & execute PM programs to minimize downtime & prevent breakdowns.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to Food Safety (HACCP), ISO, GMP, & OSHA requirements.
- Team Leadership: Lead, train, & schedule maintenance technicians/supervisors.
- Budgeting & Reporting: Manage maintenance budgets, inventory of spare parts, & report on KPIs (e.g., MTBF, MTTR).
- Troubleshooting: Provide technical support for mechanical, electrical, & automation systems.
- Articulate tangible cost-saving initiatives: waste reduction, energy efficiency precision manufacturing, by adopting technologies like AI-driven refrigeration, automated ingredient measuring, & lightweight packaging
- Achieve measurable impact by optimizing formulations, reducing energy consumption,



preventing spoilage ,waste reduction, process cycle efficiency & improving production yield.
- Energy saving Initiatives: Energy-saving measures reduce utility costs & carbon footprints through efficiency & smart usage. The most impactful actions include upgrading to LED lighting, running full loads for appliances, optimizing HVAC thermostats, & utilizing smart power strips to eliminate phantom energy drain.
- Establish clear Energy Baselines to compare actual performance against what energy consumption would have been without interventions. This validates actual savings, supports corporate sustainability, & avoids guesswork.

Required Skills

- Strong understanding of Mechanical , Refrigeration, Automation, Pneumatics, & PLC systems.
- Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) Automate scheduled routines & integrate IoT sensor technologies to monitor real-time asset health
- Proven ability to manage teams & drive continuous improvement (TPM/Lean)
- Knowledge of sanitary design & food safety sanitation practices.
- Strong communication & problem-solving skills
- Condition monitoring , using IoT sensors & predictive diagnostics to track equipment health (vibration, temperature) & product quality (viscosity, temperature) to prevent costly spoilage, ensures strict compliance, & shifts operations from reactive repairs to proactive management.

- Experienced in department budget management.
- Proven skills in preventive maintenance.
- Ability to interface with regulatory agencies.
- Knowledge of Capital Project Development, Cost Estimation & Management.
- Managing/Scheduling/Developing Human Resources.




- Interpersonal & Team Building skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally & in writing.
- Working knowledge of Heat Transfer, Material Handling, Fluid Mechanics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Microsoft Project.
- Previous experience with Automated Control Systems PLCs & PCs.
