Role Description The Mahila Career Agent role at LIC is a full-time position based in Lucknow with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site responsibilities with some work-from-home flexibility. In this role, the agent promotes LIC’s insurance products, meets prospective and existing clients, explains policy features, and supports them in selecting suitable plans. Day-to-day tasks include generating leads, conducting client meetings, providing guidance on financial planning and risk protection, and assisting clients with documentation and policy servicing.
The agent collaborates with LIC branch teams, participates in training programs, and maintains accurate records of client interactions and sales activities.
The role focuses on building long-term relationships, increasing awareness of insurance solutions, and contributing to LIC’s customer-centric service standards.
Qualifications
- Client engagement and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex insurance concepts in transparent, simple language.
- Sales and marketing capabilities, such as lead generation, relationship building, and basic knowledge of local markets in and around Lucknow.
- Organizational and administrative skills, including maintaining records, managing appointments, and handling policy documentation accurately.
- Basic financial awareness and analytical skills to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate insurance and savings products.
- Comfort with hybrid work, including self-motivation, time management, and the ability to coordinate with branch staff and clients remotely.
- Minimum educational qualification typically at higher secondary level or above; a graduate degree in any discipline is an advantage.
- Proficiency in local language(s) and working knowledge of English; familiarity with basic computer and smartphone applications.
- Prior experience in customer service, sales, or financial services is beneficial but not mandatory; willingness to undergo LIC training programs is essential.
