- Monitor and support SQL Server instances across Azure IaaS, Azure MI, Azure PaaS, and onprem
- Perform daily health checks: availability, CPU, memory, disk I/O, latency
- Manage backups, restores, pointintime recovery, and DR readiness
- Handle HA technologies: Failover Cluster, Always On Availability Groups, Azure SQL MI HA
- User management, security principals, permissions, encryption (TDE, TLS)
- Patch OS and SQL CUs for supported versions (20162022 primarily)
- Basic performance tuning (index maintenance, plan analysis) and SQL Maintenance Jobs
- Support incidents and service requests within defined SLAs
- Skills & Tooling –
- SQL Server from legacy 2008R2 to 2022/2025 latest N-1 DB administration
- Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure Backup, Quest Foglight, Current Relic etc.,
- SQL Server Agent, SSMS, Query Store
- Understanding of Azure SQL DB vs MI limitations

- Basic PowerShell scripting
