Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented professional to manage end-to-end logistics, import-export operations, CHA coordination, freight forwarding, domestic transportation, and logistics documentation.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth movement of materials, timely dispatches and deliveries, cost optimization, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination with internal departments and external logistics partners.

Key Responsibilities

1. Import & Export Operations

- Manage complete import and export documentation and shipment processes.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHA agents, shipping lines, and transporters.
- Ensure timely customs clearance and compliance with applicable import-export regulations.
- Monitor shipment schedules and ensure on-time delivery of materials.
- Handle DGFT, ICEGATE, Bill of Entry (BOE), Shipping Bills,



and other statutory documentation.

1. CHA & Freight Forwarder Coordination

- Liaise with CHA agents, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and logistics service providers.
- Negotiate freight rates and transportation contracts.
- Track international shipments and proactively resolve logistics-related issues.
- Ensure cost-effective logistics planning and execution.

1. Domestic Transportation Management

- Manage inbound and outbound transportation activities.
- Coordinate vehicle placement and dispatch planning.
- Ensure timely delivery of finished goods and raw materials.
- Monitor transporter performance and logistics costs.
- Develop and maintain effective transporter/vendor relationships.

1. Documentation & Compliance

- Maintain accurate logistics, shipment, and transportation documentation.
- Ensure compliance with customs, GST, transportation, and other statutory requirements.
- Prepare logistics MIS, shipment tracking, and status reports.
- Manage insurance documentation and coordinate shipment-related claims.

1. Internal Coordination

- Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Stores, Packaging, Finance, and Sales teams.
- Ensure availability of packaging materials required for dispatches.
- Support production planning through effective logistics coordination.
- Resolve operational issues through cross-functional coordination.

1. Team Management & Leadership

- Lead, guide, and mentor the logistics and dispatch team.
- Develop and implement logistics SOPs and process improvements.
- Drive operational efficiency and logistics cost reduction.
- Establish accountability and performance standards within the team.
- Ensure discipline,



productivity, and effective team performance.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Import-Export procedures and documentation.
- Hands-on experience in CHA coordination and freight forwarding.
- Good knowledge of customs clearance, shipping, and transportation management.
- Solid vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Excellent planning, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, and Logistics MIS reporting.
- Robust understanding of logistics cost control and optimization.

Educational Qualification
- Graduate in Supply Chain / Logistics / Commerce / Management.
- MBA / PG Diploma in Logistics & Supply Chain Management will be preferred.

Experience
- 10–15 years of relevant experience in Logistics, Import-Export, and Supply Chain Operations.
- Experience in the Engineering / Manufacturing industry will be preferred.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in managing international and domestic logistics operations will be preferred.
