Role Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Linux infrastructure, VMware, Infrastructure as Code, automation, CI/CD, containers, and cloud technologies.

This is a highly hands-on role for someone who can independently design, automate, troubleshoot, and improve infrastructure rather than simply maintain existing systems.

You will work closely with our US-based engineering teams to modernize our infrastructure, expand automation, strengthen CI/CD processes, and move traditional infrastructure toward an Infrastructure-as-Code and DevOps-driven model.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform/Terragrunt and Ansible.
- Administer and troubleshoot Ubuntu Linux servers across VMware, colocated infrastructure, and cloud environments.
- Manage and improve VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter environments.
- Build and maintain automation for provisioning, configuration, patching, backups, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
- Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Bitbucket.
- Manage containerized workloads using Docker, Docker Compose, and Portainer.
- Support AWS infrastructure including EC2, RDS, S3, ECS Fargate, IAM, CloudWatch, VPN, and related services.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, Linux, networking, application deployment, database, and performance issues.
- Support services including MySQL, Redis, Apache, Cloudflare, Active Directory, and Authentik.
- Implement security best practices including least-privilege access, secrets management, network segmentation, logging, and monitoring.




- Work with monitoring tools including Zabbix, ELK/Elastic Stack, Sentry, and CloudWatch.
- Collaborate directly with developers and infrastructure teams to improve deployment reliability and eliminate repetitive manual work.
- Participate in infrastructure incident response and on-call support when required.

Required Skills
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in Linux / DevOps / Infrastructure Engineering
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting experience
- Strong VMware vSphere / ESXi / vCenter administration
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform
- Experience with Ansible
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code
- Experience building and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins
- Strong Docker and containerization knowledge
- AWS infrastructure experience
- Solid networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VPN, firewall, and reverse proxy concepts
- Experience with Bash or other infrastructure scripting
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills
- Ability to work independently without requiring constant supervision

Preferred Skills Experience with some of the following will be advantageous:

Terragrunt, Bitbucket, MySQL, Redis, Percona XtraBackup, Zabbix, ELK, Elastic Agent, Sentry, CloudWatch, Cloudflare, Apache, Active Directory, Authentik, Laravel/PHP environments, and Vue.js application environments.

Experience supporting HIPAA-regulated or other security/compliance-sensitive environments is also preferred.

Important Work Requirements

This position is 100% on-site in Bangalore and works closely with US-based engineering teams during US business hours / India night shift.
