Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux servers.

Manage Linux operating systems such as RHEL, AlmaLinux, CentOS, and Ubuntu.

Monitor server health, CPU, memory, disk, network, and system availability.

Troubleshoot server, application, network, and OS-level issues.

Perform OS patching, package updates, kernel upgrades, and security updates.

Manage Linux users, groups, permissions, sudo access, and SSH configuration.

Configure and manage system services using systemd.

Monitor and analyze system logs for errors and performance issues.

Perform disk and filesystem management, including LVM and mount points.

Troubleshoot disk space, filesystem, CPU, memory, and process-related issues.

Manage cron jobs and scheduled tasks.

Perform server hardening and basic security configuration.

Manage firewall rules and network connectivity.

Perform server health checks and routine maintenance activities.

Support server provisioning, decommissioning, and migration activities.

Manage backups and assist with disaster recovery activities.





Maintain server documentation and operational procedures.

Automate repetitive administrative tasks using Bash/Python.

Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS EC2, where required.

Coordinate with application, network, security, and development teams for issue resolution.

Required Technical Skills Solid Linux system administration knowledge.

Hands-on experience with RHEL/AlmaLinux/CentOS/Ubuntu.

Strong knowledge of Linux commands and troubleshooting.

Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, HTTP/HTTPS, ports, and routing.

Knowledge of systemd, processes, services, cron, users, groups, and permissions.

Experience with disk, filesystem, LVM, and mount management.

Knowledge of package management such as yum, dnf, and apt.

Experience with Linux log analysis and troubleshooting.

Knowledge of server monitoring and alerting tools.

Understanding of backup and recovery concepts.

Basic knowledge of security hardening and firewall configuration
