We are looking for an experienced Oil & Gas Business Analyst to connect business stakeholders, domain experts, and engineering teams. This position demands a solid understanding of Oil & Gas processes, data entities, and operational workflows.

The Business

Analyst will collaborate closely with business units, domain specialists, and product/engineering teams to convert business needs into clear requirements, define product capabilities, and ensure solutions match industry practices and stakeholder expectations.

Responsibilities

- Serve as the Oil & Gas domain expert for product and engineering teams
- Cooperate with business stakeholders, domain experts, and global users to gather, analyze, and refine business requirements
- Guide engineering teams in understanding domain concepts, business processes, data models, and key industry entities
- Convert business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Team up with product and engineering groups to shape product features and ensure business value realization
- Verify solution designs against business objectives and operational workflows
- Perform and test end-to-end business workflows across the product lifecycle
- Detect gaps, edge cases, and process improvement opportunities during solution development
- Deliver demonstrations, walkthroughs,



and presentations for stakeholders and business users
- Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) and solution adoption activities

Requirements

- 6-15 years of experience in Business Analysis
- Understanding of Oil & Gas business processes and operational workflows
- Background in working with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, domain experts, product managers, and software engineers
- Expertise in requirements gathering, business analysis, and product development environments
- Skills in analytical thinking, communication, and stakeholder management
- Capability to translate complex business concepts into transparent functional requirements and user stories
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps
- Familiarity with domain data models from prior work
- Proficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher

Nice to have

- Background in upstream, midstream, or downstream Oil & Gas operations
- Familiarity with industry data models, business entities, and digital transformation initiatives
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum product development environments
- Showcase of workflow validation, testing, and user acceptance testing processes
- Understanding of industry-leading products - ProSource, OSDU, Petrel, Databricks, etc.
