Role & responsibilities

- The role involves vendor development, cost negotiation, purchase planning, supplier performance management, inventory coordination, and ensuring procurement is aligned with quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies in line with production and business requirements.
- Plan and purchase raw materials like (MS, SS, CRCA, Copper, Aluminium, Sheet metal Components).
- Review purchase requisitions and coordinate with Production, Planning, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, Finance, and other departments
- Monitor supplier deliveries and ensure materials are received within required timelines

- Develop alternate/local suppliers to reduce dependency and supply-chain risks
- Analyze purchase costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and value improvement.
- Maintain proper purchase records, vendor documentation, quotations,



comparative statements, and purchase orders

- Support current product development by identifying suitable suppliers and obtaining samples, quotations, and technical/commercial information.
- Lead and mentor the purchase/procurement team entirely.

Preferred candidate profile

- 9 to 14 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of commercial terms, purchase documentation, and supplier contracts.
- A postgraduate qualification such as MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Operations is an advantage.
- Well versed in SAP - MM
- Experience in direct and indirect procurement within a manufacturing/industrial environment will be preferred.
