The Associate Engineer for Non Process Infrastructure (NPI) and General Civil reports to the Discipline Lead for the Mining and Metals Sector. The position will provide consistent leadership and role modelling of Jacobs’ core values, fostering an inclusive and diverse culture across the Sector that embodies Jacobs’ Culture of Caring and prioritises the health and wellbeing of people. You will set clear direction regarding client focus and responsiveness and will help to ensure we can identify and anticipate client needs.

This role will focus on the delivery of key opportunities within the new energy and resources sector, including studies from our clients in new energy and resources and downstream delivery phases of studies and sustaining capital works. The role will work alongside Engineers and Technicians, providing project delivery, design management and project management. The role will support the management of the section in terms of team development and growth, building design capability and growing the portfolio within Jacobs.

Key to this role will be interfacing with the ANZ Resource Hub Teams in order to improve delivery capability to meet targets.

- Collaborating with commercial, project managementandtechnical leaders to create opportunities for Jacobs to plan, develop,deliverandoperatea range of projects in the new energy and resources market
- Work alongside Senior,Associate and Principal Engineersto achievethe best outcomes forproject delivery
- Good communicationskills
- Interface between all stakeholders.
- Report writing (technical, progress etc).
- Good computer literacy.
- Interfacing positively and successfully with our Jacobs virtual teaming groups will be an important part of this role.
- Ensure tasks undertaken are understood completely before starting
- Contribute to the multi-disciplinary engineering elements in delivery of study and delivery phases of projects (with a focus on civil engineering). This will require working with local and regional delivery as well astheANZ Resource Hubin order tobuild and improve delivery within the sector.
- Asacivil engineer you will be hands on in engineering delivery, project-and design management of technically excellent engineering designs forfinancially successful consultancy services whilst achieving excellent client satisfaction
- Supportthe disciplineleaders andproject managers in theon-timedelivery of projects
- Attend key client meetings where possible to gain an understanding of the relationships that we aspire to develop andmaintainto become a trusted advisor across the sector.
- Maintain compliance with Jacobs QA procedures, including the deliverables review QA process.

Here's what you'll need
- Familiar with delivery methodology including initiation, development and delivery-phases,



and the specific requirements and levels of accuracy as well as design maturity required at each delivery gate for resources and/or new energy clients
- Current knowledge of international and local engineering methods, applicable codes and specifications associated with new energy and resources projects.
- Experience with various aspects of the planning, design and commissioning processes, construction methods and interface requirements of multi-disciplinary projects, with sound knowledge of current design standards.
- Effectively contributes to civil engineering elements of studies, projects and proposal teams .
- Relevant experience in ANZ Resources market projects highly desirable.
- Responds to identified market and client needs to recommend targeted hiring opportunities. Support the development and retention of client valued talent.
