1. Position Summary The Lead Data Analyst - SCADA Performance Monitoring will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing the performance of Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) & other inputs through a centralized SCADA platform. This role focuses on transforming operational data into actionable insights, enabling proactive asset management, predictive maintenance, and executive-level reporting.

The successful candidate will have strong expertise in renewable energy analytics, Power BI, SQL, SCADA systems, and multi-OEM monitoring platforms. They will support a 24×7 Performance Monitoring Centre by analyzing live operational data, identifying performance deviations, managing alarms, developing dashboards, and providing recommendations to improve asset performance and availability.

The role requires close collaboration with SCADA Engineers, Performance Monitoring Engineers, O&M; teams, and customers to ensure timely fault detection, data accuracy, and continuous operational improvement.

2. Key Responsibilities

Energy Performance Monitoring

· Monitor Solar PV and BESS assets using centralized SCADA platforms.

· Analyze live operational data from multiple renewable energy sites.

· Track plant performance, asset health, and operational KPIs.

· Identify performance deviations, equipment faults, and energy losses.

· Provide recommendations to maximize generation and improve asset availability.

· Monitor portfolio performance across multiple customer accounts.

Data Analytics & Business Intelligence

· Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.

· Build executive dashboards for customers and management.

· Perform trend analysis, fleet benchmarking, and performance comparisons.

· Create automated reporting workflows using Power BI, Power Query, SQL, and Power Automate.

· Develop KPIs, scorecards, and performance metrics for renewable energy assets.

· Validate, cleanse, and standardize operational data from multiple sources.

SCADA Data Analysis

Analyze data from

Ensure data quality, completeness, and consistency across all monitored assets.





Alarm & Incident Analysis

· Monitor and analyze SCADA alarms in real time.

· Classify alarms based on severity and business impact.

· Identify recurring faults and root causes.

· Support engineering teams with fault diagnostics.

· Track alarm trends and recommend preventive measures.

· Generate incident summaries and RCA reports.

Performance Analytics

Analyze and report on

· Identify trends indicating equipment degradation.

· Perform anomaly detection using historical operational data.

· Develop forecasting models for energy generation and asset performance.

· Recommend operational improvements based on analytical insights.

2. Educational Qualifications

Essential

Bachelor's Degree in: Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Energy Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or Data Science

Preferred

Master's Degree in: Data Analytics, Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems or Business Analytics

3. Experience

Essential

· 4 to 8 years of experience in data analytics, SCADA monitoring, or asset performance monitoring.





· Minimum 2 years of experience developing SCADA monitoring dashboards.

· Experience supporting 24×7 operations or Network Operations Centres (NOC), Renewable Energy Operations Centres (ROC), or SCADA Monitoring Centres.

· Experience analyzing large operational datasets from Solar PV and BESS assets.

· Experience working with multiple renewable energy monitoring platforms.
