We are seeking a skilled Lathe Machine Operator to manufacture precision components for Marine Growth Prevention Systems , including copper and aluminum anodes. The role requires hands-on experience in lathe operations, attention to detail, and the ability to work as per technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate conventional lathe machines for machining anodes and related components
- Perform turning, facing, drilling, threading, and finishing operations
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish within required tolerances
- Use measuring tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Set up machines, select tools, and maintain appropriate cutting parameters
- Conduct basic machine maintenance and ensure cleanliness of the workspace
- Maintain production records and report defects or deviations
- Follow all safety and quality standards
Requirements:
- ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in lathe machine operations
- Experience with copper, aluminum, or other non-ferrous metals preferred
- Ability to understand technical drawings and tolerances
- Strong focus on quality and precision
Reporting: Reports to Production Manager / Supervisor
