- Edit manuscript and articles for spelling, grammar, punctuation, clarity, consistency and rephrasing sentences
- Edit the manuscript as per the publisher's language requirements
- Quality language editing of journals or books
- Regularly check the files copyedited by the editor trainees and give them appropriate feedback
- Review author / publisher corrections, analyze errors, and recommend training needs
- Undertake quality circles based on error analysis
- Make recommendations for automation
- Identify bugs in tools and record them for further analysis

Job requirements

- Graduate with 1 - 7 years of experience in language editing of STM journals / books, with high emphasis on quality
- Excellent verbal and written English skills with an eye for detail
- Expert in MS Office
- Enthusiastic learner with a passion for reading / editing
