About the role

We are looking for a Lab Incharge to lead the plant laboratory.

Our products are sold to specification, which makes this role central to what we deliver. You will own testing and quality control for limestone, quicklime, hydrated lime and other mineral products, with particular focus on chemical composition, iron content and particle size distribution.

What you will be responsible for

- Managing overall laboratory operations, testing and quality control activity
- Developing and maintaining testing methods for limestone, quicklime, hydrated lime and mineral products
- Monitoring key chemical parameters including CaO, MgO, SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3, LOI, available lime and reactivity
- Leading iron content and Fe2O3 analysis, particularly for low-iron limestone and glass industry applications
- Operating and maintaining XRF and other analytical instruments used for chemical analysis
- Conducting raw material, in-process and finished product testing against approved specifications
- Carrying out particle size distribution analysis, including volume-based PSD
- Operating laser particle size analysers and interpreting PSD reports and distribution curves
- Monitoring D10, D50, D90 and correlating results with product performance




- Supporting production on process optimisation across crushing, sizing, grinding and hydration
- Establishing product specifications based on customer and industry requirements, particularly for glass and steel
- Investigating quality deviations, identifying root causes and driving corrective action
- Maintaining laboratory equipment, calibration, validation and preventive maintenance records
- Ensuring proper sampling, sample preparation, testing, reporting and traceability
- Preparing CoA, quality reports, MIS and quality trend analysis
- Coordinating with production, operations and sales teams on quality and customer requirements
- Supporting customer complaints, technical discussions and new product trials
- Training laboratory staff in testing methods, equipment operation and laboratory safety
- Maintaining laboratory safety, housekeeping and chemical handling standards

What we are looking for

- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry, Mineral Processing, Material Science or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in laboratory or QC functions
- Strong background in minerals processing, glass industry, or lime and quicklime
- Strong knowledge of chemical analysis, iron content determination and mineral testing
- Hands-on experience with XRF and other chemical analysis equipment
- Hands-on experience with particle size analysis equipment and volume-based PSD measurement
- Good understanding of limestone, quicklime and hydrated lime quality parameters

Preferred

- Experience setting product specifications with industrial customers
- Exposure to low-iron limestone for glass or solar glass applications
- Comfort working at a plant location in Nagaur district, Rajasthan
