The L1 SOC Executive/Analyst is responsible for real-time security monitoring, analysis of security alerts, initial investigation, and escalation of incidents within the Security

Operations Center. The role focuses on identifying potential security threats using

SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and threat-intelligence tools and ensuring timely and accurate incident reporting.

Key Responsibilities

 Monitor security events and alerts generated by

SIEM/XDR/EDR/Firewall/IPS/Email Security/Cloud Security platforms.

 Perform initial triage, validation, and prioritization of security alerts and incidents.

 Detect and analyze ransomware, malware, phishing, brute force, policy violations, unauthorized access, and suspicious behavior.

 Escalate complex or confirmed incidents to L2/L3 teams as per the Incident





Response workflow.

 Document investigation steps, findings, and incident timelines in SOC tools and ticketing systems.

 Work in 24x7 rotational shifts, ensuring timely handover between shift teams.

 Continuous monitoring of threat intelligence feeds and applying relevant use case knowledge during analysis.

 Support compliance and reporting requirements such as RBI Cybersecurity

Framework, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, DPDP, etc. (if applicable).

 Participate in daily SOC review calls, reporting SOC metrics and observations.
