About Kivi Capital :

Kivi Capital is building high-performance technology for quantitative trading and research. We are looking for a Senior Quant Developer to lead a small engineering team and build the systems that power our trading and research platform.

Role Overview :

This is a hands-on technical leadership role with end-to-end ownership. You will lead a team of 23 software engineers while remaining deeply involved in architecture, development, deployment, and production. Python will be the primary language, with opportunities to contribute to Rust-based projects.

Rust experience is a plus, but not mandatory.

What You'll Do :

- Lead and mentor a team of 23 software engineers.
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance Python applications.
- Own software projects end-to-end, from system design through production deployment.
- Drive architectural decisions, code quality, engineering standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate closely with quantitative researchers, quants, and engineering teams to build scalable systems.

What We're Looking For :

- Bachelor's degree from a Tier-1 institute such as IITs, IISc, IIITs, BITS, ISI,



or an equivalent global university.
- 5+ years of backend software development experience, including 2+ years in a senior or technical leadership role.
- Strong expertise in Python and experience building production-grade backend systems.
- Deep understanding of software architecture, concurrency, operating systems, memory models, and performance optimization.
- Proven ability to lead teams and deliver complex engineering projects.

Nice to Have :

- Exposure to Rust, PyO3, or FFI.
- Experience with low-latency or high-throughput systems.
- Knowledge of distributed systems, networking, SQL/NoSQL databases, and large-scale data processing.
