Job Brief

Remotee is seeking an experienced Karbon Accounting Software Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Implementation Specialist to support a leading Australian accounting firm with a major Karbon optimisation and implementation project.

This is a hands-on, project-based role for someone who knows Karbon inside and out and can work directly with accountants and business leaders to improve how the platform is configured and used across the firm.

The successful candidate will lead data migration, workflow redesign, automation and training initiatives, acting as the firm's go-to Karbon expert throughout the engagement. The role begins as an intensive 2-month full-time contract, with the opportunity to transition into flexible, ad-hoc project management hours as needed thereafter.

Mandatory Requirements

- 3+ years' advanced, hands-on experience using Karbon.

- 2+ years' experience implementing, configuring or optimising Karbon within an accounting firm.

- Strong understanding of accounting practice workflows.

- Experience with workflow design, automation, templates and data migration within Karbon.

- Ability to train users and explain Karbon functionality in simple,



practical terms.

- Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the project.

- Available to commence immediately.

Responsibilities

- Lead and support data migration and system configuration within Karbon.

- Review and improve existing accounting workflows and work templates.

- Configure workflow automation, recurring work, tasks and client processes.

- Help customise Karbon around the firm's specific accounting processes.

- Improve how teams use client management, email, jobs, tasks and workflow automation.

- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve productivity.

- Troubleshoot Karbon configuration and user issues.

- Train accountants and support staff on best-practice use of Karbon.

- Act as the firm's Karbon SME, answering questions and providing practical recommendations.

- Document processes and transfer Karbon knowledge to the internal team.
