We are hiring a junior research fellow (JRF) to investigate quantum non-adiabatic dynamics through computational modeling.
Duration: 1 year. Extendable upto 4.5 years upon satisfactory performance.
Location: Department of Chemistry, Central University of Rajasthan
About the Role: We are seeking a motivated Junior Research Fellow to join our research group to investigate non-adiabatic and open quantum system dynamics of light matter interactions. The selected candidate will combine electronic structure theory with time-dependent quantum dynamics simulation techniques to track real-time electronic and nuclear evolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Construct potential energy surfaces using TD-DFT, CASPT2, XMCQDPT2 etc methods.
- Implement and execute quantum dynamics propagation methods.
El
igibility
- M. Sc. in Chemistry with 55% or equivalent CGPA from a UGC recognized University or institute.
- National Eligibility Test (CSIR-UGC)/GATE or equivalent. Non NET candidates will be offered a project associate position.
Desirables
- Prior experience with quantum dynamics packages (MCTDH) or electronic structure codes (ORCA, GAMESS)
- Familiarity with light-matter interaction, vibronic coupling or conical intersections.
- Experience with High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Linux environments.
Fellowship &
Perks
- Consolidated Stipend: ₹37,000 per month + HRA for NET candidates. ₹25,000 per month + HRA for NON-NET candidates.
