ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking curious, high-aptitude fresh graduates with a solid programming foundation in Python and C++ to join us as Junior Research Engineers. We hire for raw problem-solving ability, aptitude and coding strength rather than for a single specialisation.
You will start alongside senior engineers on real AI and computer-vision work. Through structured mentorship and hands-on training, we will groom you into whichever engineering or research role you grow best into.
You will work with senior engineers to design, build, optimize and deploy intelligent algorithms and real-time systems, building the robust fundamentals that will allow you to move across teams as you develop.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN & DO
- Core System Development: Write clean, modular and performance-critical code in Python and C++ for data pipelines, model inference and real-time processing.
- Model & Edge Optimization: Learn how to optimize algorithms for latency, memory footprint and deployment on edge devices and GPU workstations.
- Benchmarking & Testing: Assist in dataset preparation, synthetic data generation, model evaluation and regression testing across diverse real-world environments.
- Hands-on AI & CV Mentorship: Receive direct training on computer-vision concepts, including image processing, OpenCV, 2D/3D geometry and pose estimation, as well as deep-learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
- Engineering Best Practices: Adopt robust software-development workflows, including Git version control, unit testing, code reviews and CI/CD.
ELIGIBILITY & CORE REQUIREMENTS
- Education: B.Sc. Mathematics, B.E., B.Tech Information Technology, Electronics, Robotics, Applied Mathematics or a related technical discipline. Recent graduates and final-year students are eligible.
- Core Programming: Strong,
demonstrable fundamentals in Python and C++, including data structures, algorithms and object-oriented programming.
- Mathematical Aptitude: A good grasp of foundational mathematics relevant to computer vision and machine learning, including linear algebra, coordinate geometry, matrix operations, probability and calculus.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Strong logical reasoning, fast debugging capabilities and an eagerness to tackle complex technical challenges.
- Curiosity & Learnability: Self-motivated to read technical documentation, explore AI research and quickly pick up modern developer tools and frameworks.
GOOD TO HAVE
- Internship Experience: Prior internship experience at a software company, technology startup or research lab.
- Projects & Portfolio: Academic or personal projects involving OpenCV, image processing, PyTorch, TensorFlow or basic machine learning.
- Developer Tools: Familiarity with Linux environments, command-line tools and basic Git workflows.
- Active Coding Profile: A public GitHub repository with clean code or participation in hackathons, Kaggle or competitive programming platforms such as LeetCode or CodeChef.
